PICKERING, Ont. — The union representing putting employees at two Ontario casinos says a tentative deal has been reached with Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.
Unifor says the Ajax and Pickering on line casino employees will vote on the tentative settlement Friday.
The on line casino employees have been on strike since July 23 because the union pushed for wage will increase and for the corporate to scale back its reliance on part-time employees.
The union says a putting employee suffered a damaged ankle after he was hit by a automotive Sunday evening whereas on a secondary picket line on the firm’s On line casino Woodbine location.
Union members at six different Nice Canadian Gaming Company casinos in Ontario averted a strike final month after negotiating new agreements.
Together with the most recent tentative deal, the brand new agreements cowl 1,830 Unifor members at eight casinos.
