OLG issues first-quarter gaming revenue payments for Peterborough and Cavan Monaghan Township – Peterborough

The Metropolis of Peterborough acquired greater than $719,000 and Cavan Monaghan Township acquired over $109,000 as a part of first-quarter funds of gaming revenue, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. introduced Friday.

The funds, which embody income from April 1 to June 30, are for town internet hosting Shorelines Casino Peterborough and the township internet hosting Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs in Fraserville.

Town’s full cost was $719,390. Since October 2018, when the on line casino opened, town has acquired $7,189,455 in non-tax gaming income, the OLG says.

The township’s cost was $109,068, the OLG stories. Since November 1999, the township has acquired $61,096,931 in non-tax gaming income.

Funds are made underneath an equitable formulation within the Municipality Contribution Settlement, which determines the quantity of funding that municipalities obtain for internet hosting a gaming facility.

The OLG says since 1994, host communities throughout the province have acquired greater than $1.86 billion in non-tax gaming income.
