A person was arrested and stays in custody after a lady died in what Abbotsford, B.C., police say was a “domestic-related incident.”
Police stated the loss of life occurred Thursday afternoon at a house on Eastview Road, close to George Ferguson Manner and Ware Road.
Abbotsford police stated they have been known as about an ongoing assault. Officers arrived at round 4:40 p.m. and located a lady affected by life-threatening accidents.
She died a short while later on the scene, police stated.
“Patrol officers arrested a 48-year-old man on the scene, who we consider is accountable for this,” stated Sgt. Paul Walker, Abbotsford Police Division’s media relations officer.
Abbotsford police stated they consider the incident is domestic-related.
“That is an remoted incident, the sufferer and the suspect are identified to one another,” Walker stated.
“We’re taking a look at it as a domestic-related incident, however the investigation is in its preliminary phases.”
B.C. RCMP’s Built-in Murder Investigation Group has taken over the investigation.
