A Lumby, B.C., man, 43, was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly assaulting somebody then locking himself in his home, together with a firearm.
At about 9:30 p.m., frontline officers from the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to a report of a an assault that had taken place on Sugar Lake Road north of Lumby.
Shortly earlier than midnight police situated the suspect at a residence on Mabel Lake Street.

“Throughout their makes an attempt to make contact with the suspect, officers on the scene noticed a firearm and ammunition inside the house in shut proximity to the person,” Const. Chris Terleski stated.
