Heavy rainfall, flash flood warnings issued for Northern Ontario

Heavy rain warnings have been issued for a lot of Northern Ontario with thunderstorms anticipated to maneuver in.

Surroundings Canada issued a warning at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday for heavy rain in a number of northern communities that it says will proceed by to Monday morning.

The company predicted between 25 and 50 millimeters of rain might fall through the interval.

“Thunderstorms bringing localized heavy rainfall have begun over some areas this morning and are anticipated to change into extra widespread this afternoon,” the warning stated.

Warnings have been issued for 13 areas in Northern Ontario, together with Fort Frances, Atikokan, Kenora and Sioux Lookout.
