‘First hot stretch of summer’: Incoming B.C. weather will see mercury reach low-to-mid 30s

For a second day, Environment Canada is warning the general public it’s going to get sizzling later this week, and that the majority of B.C. will likely be impacted.

Billing it as the primary sizzling stretch of summer season for the province, the nationwide climate company says the climate system will first hit jap Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland on Friday earlier than transferring inland.

The one areas not underneath a special weather statement for hot weather are western Vancouver Island, the Central and North Coast, Haida Gwaii and areas bordering the Yukon and Northwest Territories.

Temperatures for jap Vancouver Island, together with Victoria, are anticipated to hit the higher 20s on Friday, whereas the South Coast will see daytime highs rising into the low 30s. Temperatures are anticipated to remain sizzling till Tuesday.
