Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs removes Arlen Dumas as grand chief over sexual harassment – Winnipeg

An Indigenous chief in Manitoba has been faraway from his job after being accused of sexual harassment.

The Meeting of Manitoba Chiefs voted Friday to drop Arlen Dumas as grand chief throughout a closed-door assembly in Winnipeg.

A workers member lodged a misconduct grievance towards Dumas in March.
He was suspended and an unbiased investigation discovered he had engaged in office sexual harassment.

Dumas stated the accusation was unfounded and earlier this week famous that he was in search of therapy for trauma.

In 2019, Dumas stepped away from the job briefly after an Indigenous girl stated he tried to pursue a relationship together with her by utilizing a false id on social media.
